Extralink Sedir is a media converter that converts media transmission between FTP/UTP copper cables and an SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) fibre optic transmitter-receiver. It is designed to meet the huge needs of Ethernet deployment and can extend an Ethernet network via fibre optic cable over a maximum distance of up to 80 km (depending on the SFP module used). The installation procedure and operation are very simple. The status of the device can be monitored locally by a set of diagnostic LEDs on the front panel.
