Batteries

What are Accumulators?

Batteries are devices that store electrical energy that can later be used to power a variety of electronic devices, emergency systems, electric vehicles, and photovoltaic installations. Batteries are crucial in systems that require an independent power source or in situations where access to the power grid is limited.

What are the types of batteries?

  • AGM batteries - are lead-acid batteries in which the electrolyte is absorbed by fibreglass mats. They are characterised by long life, shock resistance and low self-discharge. They are ideal for emergency and UPS power applications, as well as solar systems.
  • LiFePO4 batteries - modern batteries with long life, high energy efficiency and lighter weight compared to traditional batteries. They are greener and safer to use, making them an ideal choice for electric vehicles, energy storage systems and industrial applications.

How do you choose the right battery?

  1. Application and capacity: Consider what purpose you will be using the battery for. If you need a battery for an emergency power system or UPS, a good choice would be Extralink AGM 12V 40Ah. Its 40 Ah capacity and robust design make it ideal for powering appliances that require constant, reliable energy.
  1. Performance and service life: If you are looking for a battery with a longer life and higher capacity that can be used in more demanding conditions, consider Extralink LiFePO4 200Ah. With a capacity of 200 Ah and a voltage of 12.8V, this battery provides long hours of reliable power, which is ideal for energy storage systems or large photovoltaic installations.
  1. Output voltage: Make sure that the output voltage of the battery is compatible with your system. Most batteries offer a standard voltage of 12V or 12.8V, which is suitable for most electronic devices and power systems.
  1. Weight and size: If you need a battery with a compact size and lighter weight, which is important for portable power systems, Extralink LiFePO4 60Ah will be an excellent choice. Its smaller size and lightweight design make it easy to install even in confined spaces.
  1. Battery type: When choosing a battery, pay attention to its type. AGM batteries, are reliable and relatively inexpensive, making them a popular choice for many applications. LiFePO4 batteries, on the other hand, offer higher performance and longer life, which compensates for their higher price.
